a meeting at the white house today. of course hosted by president obama. how, if at all, can governors influence congress on this issue? >> it could be an interesting meeting. democrat or republican, these governors are worried about the impact on their state at home especially the furloughs. while that may not seem like an immediate impact on the state, if people aren't working one day a week, that's 20% less income that could be taxed by the federal government and the state government. that's less money coming into california and other states as well. we'll probably hear the governor talk about that with the president today. his message to them has been i need you as partners to try to help get through this. there are a lot of republicans here on the hill who dispute that those numbers from the white house are really accurate. they are calling them exaggerations. >> what about worst case scenario if they don't come up with a pcompromise on the budge? something they can do after automatic cuts go into effect? >> that's what a lot of people in washington are thinking that pressure is r
